USACE 2023/24 Revetment Schedule and Transit Restrictions
The 2023/2024 revetment operations on the Mississippi River Ship Channel are scheduled to begin at
Manchac (Mile 214.2 Above Head of Passes [AHP]) on January 21, 2024.
The revetment operations at the Manchac and St. Gabriel (Mile 199 AHP) locations will be conducted
with no deep-draft (ship) transits allowed during working hours (daylight). The nighttime transits
at these locations may require additional transit restrictions related to the NOBRA Pilots daylight
only restriction for vessels drafting 41 feet or greater transiting above Mile 220 AHP.
