The Aransas Corpus Christi Pilots are implementing a temporary daylight restriction for all vessels over 106 feet beam when transiting between the Harbor Bridge and Lights 79 & 80.
The current location of the dredge Ohio near the turn at Light 82 in combination with the missing Corpus Christi Harbor Outer Range Front Light (28815) and the repositioned Light 82 (28800) is a cause for concern for safe navigation for larger vessels in this vicinity.
The Aransas Corpus Christi Pilots will begin applying this restriction today July 30, 2022 and will reevaluate this restriction as aids to navigation are re-established or when dredging operations clear the vicinity.
