Due to damaged dredge pipeline, Vessel Traffic Service Houston/Galveston DIRECTS no vessel movements in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway between The Houston Ship Channel and The Texas City Channel AND Texas City Flats due to emergency dredge pipeline removal operations from 0900 to 1300 (local), Today, December 31st.
Submerged pipeline to be removed is crossing the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at approximately Mile Marker 351, extending to the Texas City Dike.
Vessels already transiting towards this area are advised to make alternate arrangements.
Vessels will not be allowed to stop or push in along the channel during the closure.
