Vessel Traffic Service Houton/Galveston DIRECTS no vessel movements on the Houston Ship Channel from Houston Ship Channel Lights 83 and 84 to Houston Ship Channel Lights 87 and 88 on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, from 1000 to 1600 (Local) for Heavy Lift operations.
Barbour’s Cut and Cedar Bayou from the Upper Channel and Bayport from the Lower Bay will remain open.
Houston Ship Channel Lights 83/84 are located approximately 1.5 Nautical Miles North of the Bayport Channel. Houston Ship Channel Lights 87/88 are located approximately .9 Nautical Miles South of Morgan’s Point.
Vessels will not be allowed to stop or push in along the Houston Ship Channel during the closure.
