Debris Removal Operations in Houston Ship Channel
Effective Dates: February 26, 2026, to March 4, 2026
Mariners are advised of pipeline removal operations scheduled to take place in the Houston Ship Channel. Please see the details below.

The following apply for the duration of the operation:
- Barge Lane Closure: The barge lane on the red side of the channel will be closed to all traffic in the immediate vicinity of the operation.
- Traffic Restrictions: During the specified operational hours, VTS Houston-Galveston DIRECTS no meeting or overtaking of vessels within a half-mile of the operation.
- Advance Notice: All vessels are requested to provide a 30-minute advance notice of their transit through the area.
