Vessel Traffic Service Houston/Galveston DIRECTS no vessel movements in the San Jacinto River from Lynchburg Inbound Range Front Light to San Jacinto River Buoy 2 for diving and salvage operations of a partially sunken tow vessel from 0800-2000 (local), 17FEB26.

No vessels will be allowed to stop or push in along the Houston Ship Channel during the closure. Vessels already transiting towards the San Jacinto River are advised to make alternate arrangements.

Vessel Traffic Service Houston/Galveston may authorize transits in the San Jacinto River based on operation progress, depending on the safety and needs of the salvage team.
