Houston Ship Channel closed from the Sidney Sherman Bridge to Buffalo Bayou, 1910-2310hrs/16

The Houston Ship Channel is closed from the Sidney Sherman Bridge to Buffalo Bayou due to two ship break aways at the City Docks. Multiple other ships along the upper Houston Ship Channel have either broken away or are currently being supported by tugs.

A pollution incident is reported at Kavavnaugh Dock.

Carpenters Bayou is closed due to the loss of hopper barge cover with reports of covers being in the water.

VTS H-G is NOT accepting check-ins for the VTSA, to include the GIWW from MM-345 to MM-355, for any vessels other than emergency response vessels.
