“25-30 knot sustained winds and elevated seas have been reported in the lower Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay. Wind gusts up to 35 knots and rough bay waters are possible through Sunday morning.
Mariners should take these weather conditions into consideration before beginning or continuing their transits.
A National Weather Service Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 7am (local) Sunday, April 6th.
Moored and vessels at anchor should verify moorings and anchor readiness, having engines at the ready.
Multi-barge configurations, high/low couplings or vessels with questionable horsepower should conduct risk assessment prior to making their transit.”
