The red side of the Houston Ship Channel from LT 122 to Lynchburg Ferry landing is closed to all vessel traffic due to salvage operations.

VTS Houston-Galveston will accept metered check ins from tow vessels, both light boat and with barges on INBOUND ONLY transits from the Lower Houston Ship Channel. Inbound transits will be on the Green Side between LT122 and Lynchburg Ferry Landing.

All vessels shall maintain no less than 1/2 mile spacing and proceed at minimum safe speed.

Vessels may not enter the affected area prior to 0400, 21 July 2024.

The duration of this traffic measure will depend upon will salvage operations and may be amended on short notice.

The prior traffic measures permitting the outbound transits of light draft ships through the affected area are cancelled.
