There is an anticipated navigation restriction and a partial river closure scheduled in order to facilitate the removal of a submerged pipeline.
Tentative details are:
- Spanish Pass – In proximity of Mile 9.0, AHOP
- Weeks Marine Dredge JS CHATRY on scene with Pilot on board to facilitate traffic.
- June 6-8, 2023 from 0600-1800 Daily – One Way Traffic Restriction (to remove material from top of Pipeline).
- Traffic to be managed by Pilots.
- June 13, 2023 from 0600-1800 – A 12-hour full river closure.
- Jun 15, 2023 will be the backup date to be requested if needed to complete operation.

Also, dredging operations are planned in the proximity of the Point Celeste Anchorage (more precisely MM 51.5 – 51.6 AHOP)
Tentative details are:
- Two operations are scheduled to be performed by Weeks Marine and Wood dredging companies.
- Both operations are tentatively scheduled to begin June 13, 2023.
- Wood finish date is tentatively Early August.
- Weeks finish date is tentatively Late November.
- No effect on navigation.
- Will limit use of Point Celeste Anchorage.
