The U.S. Coast Guard issued the attached LMR VTS Safety Measure to cover the restrictions for the ongoing dredging project at the Hopper Dredge Disposal Area. All channel impacts are from Mile 2.0 Above Head of Passes (AHP) to Mile 0 (Head of Passes).

 

SCHEDULE TO DREDGE THE TRENCH ACROSS THE SHIP CHANNEL:

 

NOVEMBER 20:. COMPLETE CHANNEL CLOSURE IN EFFECT FROM 0600 HOURS TO 1800 HOURS Mile 2 AHP to Mile 0 (Head of Passes). This closure is being utilized to complete dredging on both sides of the Ship Channel the dredge continues working on the eastern half of the channel (red side) and will move over to the western half of the channel (green side) upon completion of the eastern side.

                          

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 20 to SATURDAY NOVEMEBER 22: From 1800 hours tonight until 0600 hours on Saturday, November 22 there will be no transit restrictions.

 

NOVEMEBER 22: COMPLETE CHANNEL CLOSURE FROM 0600 HOURS to 1800 HOURS Mile 2 AHP to Mile 0 (Head of Passes) this closure will be utilized to install the submerged dredge pipeline across the Ship Channel.
