LAMA Members,
As previously reported, the USACE has contracted to Weeks Marine to construct a saltwater sill at approximately Mile 63.8, AHOP.
The construction timeframe is estimated to be 12-25 July.
The sill will be constructed to a height of 55’ below the waterline. So, there are no draft restrictions expected at this time.
There are no river closures scheduled. However, one-way traffic through the area (Mile 63.65 to 63.91) will commence at noon on July 11, 2023.
Also, Alliance Anchorage is closed to all vessels.
