It has been reported that the LMR is nearing 15’ on the Carrollton Gauge. 

 

The USCG has released the 15’ on the Rise MSIB.

 

In addition to check-in requirements, the following apply to deep draft vessels:

 

3-Means of Holding

Unless moored to a shore side facility or mooring buoys, all deep draft vessels must have three means to hold position. 

 

The current MSIB also refers to MSIB Vol XIX Issue 007 titled Towing Vessel Safety Advisory During High Water, issued 15 January 2019 for additional provisions.

The MSIB refers to 33 CFR 161.13 and 33 CFR 165.810.  LAMA has provided pdf copies of each attached to this email.

 

Facilities should not the reporting requirements.
