Members,

The U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mat Sinking Unit (MSU) work at the Vacherie location (Mile 149.4 Above Head of Passes) on the right descending bank for today has been completed.

This a scheduled “no work weekend” there will be no revetment work at this location until 0600 hours on Monday, April 8, 2024.  The transit restrictions are limited to transiting the area at a slow safe speed for a minimal wake and to contact the M/V WILLIAM JAMES on VHF-FM CH-67 for passing guidance.

The revetment operations at the Vacherie location are scheduled to be completed on Friday, April 12. This is the final location for revetment operations this season, the next revetment operations and sites have not been determined yet but are expected to start this fall.

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) email document detailing navigation restrictions over the weekend is attached.

With You,
