The industry dustpan dredge WALLACE McGEORGE (Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel) completed dredging operations at Alhambra Crossing (Mile 190.5 Above Head of Passes [AHP]) this morning (Friday, June 2, 2023). The dustpan dredge is moving upriver to begin dredging the central 250 feet of channel at Bayou Goula Crossing (Mile 197.8 AHP). The White Castle Anchorage (Mile 191.1 AHP to Mile 190.4 AHP) is once again available for normal vessel.
THE WHITE CASTLE ANCHORAGE was closed from May 23 to June 2 (2023) to promote navigational safety and to allow the WALLACE McGEORGE to work unimpeded on assignment at Alhambra Crossing.
