A disturbance in the Bay of Campeche is expected to develop into a tropical depression later this

that will likely bring Galveston heavy rainfall totaling up to 4”-8” beginning late tonight through

late Wednesday.  These rain rates along with the higher tides/surge (2’-4’), could cause ponding

in and around the port complex. Port police will provide real-time updates.   The area is expected

to observe wind gusts up to 35-40 mph, possibly higher during stronger storms.
